Clean Connected Conversations
Join SELC's new book club and discussion series that explores how transportation, land use, and environmental justice intersect. Each selection will connect to the themes explored in their Clean Connected Communities webinar series—looking at the people, policies, and places shaping a cleaner, more connected future.
The first read for January 2026 is Dividing Lines: How Transportation Infrastructure Reinforces Racial Inequality by Deborah N. Archer, president of the ACLU and a leading civil rights scholar. Archer reveals how decisions about roads and highways—past and present—have been used to maintain racial segregation, and how we can build a more just system moving forward. The discussion will be led by Aiswarya (Ash) Murali, Environmental Justice Counsel at the Southern Coalition for Social Justice.
Date and time TBD. They'll be in touch to find a date and time that works best for everyone who signs up.
