Twenty years after North Carolina's last execution, the death penalty remains part of our state's legal system. Join the NC Coalition for Alternatives to the Death Penalty for an afternoon of conversation about where North Carolina stands today and where we go from here. Centering the voices of people directly impacted by the death penalty alongside advocates, scholars, and other experts, this symposium will consider the legacy we continue to live with while pointing toward a future beyond capital punishment.
