Rachel Allore joined Southern Coalition for Social Justice in 2024 as Counsel for Voting Rights.
Rachel completed her undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Psychology & Neuroscience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2018, where she was an Honors Carolina Laureate and graduated with distinction. She then worked at Crowell & Moring LLP in Washington, D.C. before attending law school.
Rachel received her Juris Doctor with Honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2023. During law school, Rachel served as Editor-in-Chief of the First Amendment Law Review, represented clients in the Domestic and Sexual Violence Clinic, and completed over 150 pro bono hours. She also worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Erika Wilson and the Critical Race Lawyering Civil Rights Clinic, externed at the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina, and interned with Patterson Harkavy, LLP.
Prior to joining SCSJ, Rachel served as a law clerk for the Honorable John S. Arrowood on the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Rachel believes every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued, and she is thrilled to join SCSJ in the effort to ensure that the law achieves those goals.
