Helena joined Southern Coalition for Social Justice in 2024 as a Voting Rights Legal Fellow, sponsored by Stanford Law School’s Postgraduate Public Interest Fellowship.

After graduating from Duke University, Helena worked in economic consulting before attending Stanford Law School. Helena earned her law degree from Stanford in 2024. While at Stanford, she was involved in the Stanford Journal of Civil Rights & Civil Liberties, the Workers’ Rights Pro Bono Project, the Kirkwood Moot Court Competition, and the Women of Stanford Law. She also worked with Stanford’s Community Law Clinic, the Center for Death Penalty Litigation, the Promise of Justice Initiative, and Desmarais LLP.

Helena is passionate about working alongside local communities to facilitate and protect full participation in our democracy.
