SCSJ, representing the NAACP, League of Women Voters, Democracy NC, A. Candidates elected by coalitions of African-American and white voters explained the progress that has been made under the successful implementation of the Voting Rights Act and why districts that unnecessarily segregate black voters are insulting, based on outdated assumptions, and unfair to all voters.
