Southern Coalition for Social Justice (SCSJ) is focused on empowering and educating the public about how to participate in the complex systems of zoning across the state. Our team of expert environmental justice attorneys, researchers, and communicators has developed the North Carolina Zoning 101 toolkit to help communities understand the zoning process, the potential for community harm, options for progressive zoning policies, and the ways the public can engage with the process and advocate for their needs.
