Time to vote, Mississippi!

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5, and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT.

Mississippi is one of 36 states requiring voters to show a photo ID to cast their ballot.

Students at any accredited colleges and universities can use their student ID to vote. Southern Coalition for Social Justice’s SOLVE network, in partnership with Sacred Roots in Gulfport, created the Mississippi College Voter ID Visualizer to show the distribution of Mississippi’s college student population.

In addition, voters in Mississippi may also use a non-expired driver’s license, U.S. or state government IDs, miliary IDs, a U.S. passport, a Mississippi gun license (with a photo), or a tribal ID with a photo, according to the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office.
