Q: What is Reproductive justice?
A: Reproductive justice is the intersection of reproductive rights AND social justice. Reproductive justice emerged as an intersectional theory highlighting the lived experience of reproductive oppression in communities of color. It represents a shift for women advocating for control of their bodies, from a narrower focus on legal access and individual choice to a broader analysis of racial, economic, cultural, and structural constraints on our power.
Q: I see the Summit is at the Botanical Gardens. Is this an outdoor event?
A: Nope! You have the option to be inside in the Air Conditioning all day. There will be options to be outdoors, weather permitting, or you may venture outside for lunch if you choose! You may want to take necessary precautionary measures if you have allergies.
Q: Will there be food?
A: Yep! When you register, be sure to let us know about any dietary restrictions you have so that you can eat said yummy food!
