Christopher Ketchie serves as Southern Coalition for Social Justice’s Research Director, where he oversees quantitative and qualitative research, data collection, and analysis in support of litigation and policy advocacy in the voting rights, justice system reform, and environmental justice program areas. After completing his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002, he pursued his sense of adventure by moving out west to become a wildland firefighter for the United States Forest Service.

Christopher previously worked for SCSJ from 2011 to 2015, and after spending several years working for a land conservation nonprofit in Eastern North Carolina, he returned to SCSJ in October 2018.
