You support social justice issues like voting rights, criminal justice reform, environmental justice, and human rights – and you’re not alone! We do too. Right now there’s something you can do about it.
From now until May 16, your social justice dollars go twice as far!
We know you care about social justice. When you hear about someone like Alberta, who has voted for over 50 years but could lose the right to go to the polls under North Carolina’s new voter ID law, your blood boils. When you hear that a single parent like Benjamin is unable to fulfill his dream of becoming a Social Worker because of marijuana possession, you wonder what can be done to right this wrong.
Well, we have some good news for you! Starting on Tuesday, May 6th 2014, the Southern Coalition for Social Justice is participating in Give Local America. This nationwide day of action encourages people to contribute to the nonprofits that strengthen their local communities. Thanks to a group of generous SCSJ donors providing a $6,000 matching grant, every donation received until Friday, May 16 will be DOUBLED! Don’t miss this opportunity to make your money work twice as hard for social justice! No donation is too small – especially when every dollar is doubled! So please participate in Give Local America and provide twice as many second chances for people in YOUR community.
To make your donation eligible for the match please donate to SCSJ by May 16. Your gift will be automatically matched, up to a total of $6,000. You will receive a confirmation email that includes the total amount of your tax-deductible donation as well as the total impact that your donation has made due to the match.
Thanks for all that you do to support social justice in the South. We hope you consider supporting SCSJ as part of Give Local America! Together we can change the world.
