In 2025, communities across the South met escalating threats to democracy, justice, and self-determination with courage and clarity. Southern Coalition for Social Justice stood alongside them — defending voting rights, advancing environmental justice, and fighting for fairness in the legal system. From courtrooms to community meetings, our work centered a core belief: Those closest to the problems are best suited to deliver solutions.
