Noor Taj joined SCSJ in 2021 and is a Senior Counsel for the Voting Rights program.
Noor graduated summa cum laude from Temple University in Philadelphia with a B.A. in Philosophy. Noor then graduated from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law with honors, earning the Israel Packel Award for highest GPA of her graduating class. Following law school, she served as a law clerk to the Hon. William H. Yohn, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and then worked in private practice for eight years in two top-tier firms in Philadelphia and Washington D.C. Throughout her career in private practice, Noor dedicated a significant part of her time to pro bono civil rights matters.
Noor moved to North Carolina in 2019, with a desire to commit fully to social justice issues, and is excited to do so at SCSJ.
