SOLVE Policy and Communications Fellow

Aniya Whitfield joined the Southern Coalition for Social Justice as a SOLVE Policy and Communications Fellow in September 2022. Previously, they served as the Political Action Committee Chair for Winston-Salem State, Administrative Intern for Impact Strategies, and fellow for Common Cause.

Aniya grew up in High Point, North Carolina, before attending Winston-Salem State for Political Science and Africana Studies. While in school, she organized voter registration events, and advocated for students’ rights. Aniya is currently working on her Master’s of Public Administration and Policy from American University.
