Aimee Durant serves as Senior Counsel with SCSJ’s Justice System Reform team. Her practice focuses on litigation and community engagement to promote and protect civil rights.

Aimee graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University and cum laude from Wake Forest University School of Law. While in law school, Aimee was Forsyth County’s Teen Court Organizer, President of the Domestic Violence Awareness Coalition, Associate Chief Justice of the Moot Court Program, Managing Editor of the Journal of Law & Policy, and a class representative of the Pro Bono Board. She was also a member of the Pro Bono Honor Society, dedicating over 100 hours to pro bono work while in law school, and she was the 2015 recipient of the Laura J. Gendy Award for exemplifying integrity, compassion for others, and strength of character.

Aimee began her career as a family law attorney, but she has experience litigating in criminal, family, superior, juvenile, and federal courts. She joined SCSJ in 2021 and is excited to focus her practice on civil rights and social justice work moving forward.
